In developing my ideas around cinematic hands, I have created short video “hand-montages” that draw upon films such as Dune, Interstellar, Challengers, Call Me By Your Name, Conclave, Magnolia, Nosferatu and Blade Runner 2049. I am struck by the way these films emphasize—cinematically—hands at work, hands at play, hands in other hands, and so on.
Created a trailer-style edit of Blade Runner 2049, exploring cinematic pacing through music-driven cuts, controlled transitions, and tonal contrast. The piece highlights visual storytelling, world-building, and emotional restraint rather than narrative summary.
Cinematic reinterpretation of Oppenheimer, using pacing and structural compression to convey pressure, restraint, and inevitability without relying on narrative exposition.
Below is an edited sequence from Dune centered on the arc of Paul Atreides. The piece emphasizes how prophecy, environment, and expectation shape his fate, using controlled pacing and thematic continuity rather than plot summary.
This piece centers on a cinematic reinterpretation of Avatar centered on "Eywa", exploring the goddess as both spiritual force and narrative engine. The edit emphasizes interconnectedness, nature, and divine intervention through rhythmic pacing, visual motifs, and tonal build.
A cinematic reimagining of Dune, this edit emphasizes the film’s meditative tone through the use of soft, ambient music. Focused on visual storytelling, it blends sweeping desert vistas with introspective character moments, creating a slow, immersive rhythm that mirrors the spiritual and psychological depth of the narrative.
This project is a 2 minute video about Denis Villeneuve films and his psychologically challenging films. Villeneuve’s films often delve into complex psychological, philosophical, and existential themes, such as identity, memory, time, and the nature of reality. For instance, in Arrival, the narrative explores the fluidity of time and how language shapes our understanding of the universe. Therefor, I aimed to share my passion and understanding for his films, and highlight important moments from the films.
This project is a passion project following my love for the Dune films. In a short video, I aim to tell a short narrative on the perspective of and the mind of main character 'Paul Atreides' and using slow dramatic music to enhance the feeling of dreaming for the viewer.
Below is another Denis Villeneuve project. Villeneuve has an immense sensibility towards hands, he claims that hands are a "direct relationship with reality", and in creating this project, I wanted to reveal which shots and compositions reflect those words.
I created a Star Wars video edit that explores the tragic relationship between Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. Using haunting, atmospheric music, I aimed to underscore the emotional weight of their bond and how it slowly unravels. The edit focuses on the contrast between their initial connection and the eventual collapse of their relationship, highlighting how Anakin’s inner turmoil, ambition, and growing desire for control ultimately drive a wedge between them. Using echo effects in the audio, visual overlay effects, and other color correction effects.
Utilizing opacity effects, and dystopian elements of telling a narrative. I created a montage editing project to portray a dream feeling within the world of Dune.
This Project is a short form story about Christopher Nolan's Interstellar film, using powerful images and music to sync together to stay consistent to the feeling of the film itself.
3 years ago, I created a short film about the feeling of being overwhelmed by life such as school assignments, friends, etc. Overcoming these challenges by being inspired by reading, and doing things you like, in this case, basketball.
